Customized LED light strips only need to look at these six points
Page views:1028 Time:2020-08-03

LED light strips are commonly used in building decoration due to their high brightness and low energy consumption?

1. Look at the solder joints. The LED light strips produced by legitimate LED light strip manufacturers are produced using SMT surface mount technology, solder paste, and reflow soldering processes. Therefore, the solder joints on the LED light strip are relatively smooth and the amount of solder is not large. The solder joints extend in a circular arc shape from the FPC pad to the LED electrode. However, the solder joints of the knockoff version of LED light strips have uneven soldering amounts, often forming a circle to cover the solder feet, and there will be varying degrees of solder tips, which is a typical phenomenon of manual soldering.

2. Check the quality of FPC. FPC is divided into two types: copper plated and rolled copper. The copper foil of the copper plated plate is protruding, which can be seen from the connection between the solder pad and FPC upon closer inspection. And rolled copper is closely integrated with FPC, which can be bent freely without the phenomenon of solder pad detachment. If the copper-clad board is bent too much, the solder pads will fall off, and high temperatures during maintenance can also cause the solder pads to fall off.

3. Check the cleanliness of the surface of the LED light strip. If SMT technology is used to produce LED light strips, the surface cleanliness is very good, and no impurities or stains can be seen. However, if the knockoff version of LED light strips produced by hand soldering technology is used, no matter how they are cleaned, there will still be stains and cleaning marks on the surface, and there will be solder flux and slag residue on the FPC surface.
